Paul studied Fine Art at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. Paul received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Awards include The Union League Scholarship, The John E Wally Memorial scholarship and The Faculty Prize for Excellence in Sculpture awarded at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
